Chili verde is a Mexican stew dish. It is prepared with meat, meat broth, spices, herbs, oil and vegetables. Chili verde is commonly made with pork shoulder, other cuts of pork or even chicken. This stew dish is commonly slow cooked over low heat. Chili verde can be used as a filling for burritos and tacos. Chili verde can be alone as well or with Spanish rice and warmed flour tortillas or freshly made corn tortillas.
