Tamale Pie En Casserole

The tamale pie en casserole is a beef pie casserole made with vegetables and corn meal. Spruced up with pimientoes and cayenne peppers, the tamale pie en casserole is baked in the oven and can be served with a side of mashed sweet potatoes and fresh salad.
Ingredients
  Yellow corn meal 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Boiling water 6 Cup (96 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Onion 1 Medium
  Fat 2 Tablespoon
  Chopped beef 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Tomatoes 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Pimientos 2
  Cayenne To Taste
Directions

Cook corn-meal, water, and salt, as for mush, for about thirty minutes.
Chop onion and fry in fat till brown.
Add meat and fry until red color disappears.
Add tomatoes, pimientos, and cayenne.
Line oiled casserole with mush, put meat mixture in center, cover with mush, and bake in a moderate oven (350° F.; 2-21/2 hrs.).
