Salsa Di Pomodoro
|Olive oil||4 Ounce|
|Onion||1 , chopped|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), chopped|
|Chopped basil||1 Tablespoon|
|Peeled plum tomatoes||4 Pound|
|Tomato paste||10 Ounce|
|Red wine||4 Ounce|
Heat oil in a large pot and cook onion, garlic and seasonings for 5 minutes.
Mash tomatoes up, removing any hard parts, and add to the pot with the tomato paste, wine and butter.
Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring often.
When the sauce is fairly thick, and the golden oil floats on top, the sauce is done.
