Dry Tortilla Soup
|Onion||1 , chopped|
|Black pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Tortillas||1⁄2 Pound, fried|
|Light cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Green peppers||4 , sliced|
|Grated cheddar cheese||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Tomato sauce||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
Saute onion and garlic in oil in saucepan.
Add green peppers, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Place tortillas in greased baking dish in alternate layers with tomato sauce mixture, cream, and cheese.
Dot with butter; bake at 350Â° for 30 minutes.
