Salsa Al Ragu

Adapted from Singing Chef Pasquale Cookery Show on PBS Canada.
Ingredients
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Olive oil 2 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 , chopped
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), chopped
  Beef 1 Pound, cubed
  Green pepper 1 , diced
  Stalk celery 1 , diced
  Red wine 2 Ounce
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Pinch
  Basil 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Canned tomatoes 28 Ounce (Undrained)
  Tomato paste 6 Ounce
Directions

Heat the butter and oil in a large pot, and cook the onion and garlic for 5 minutes.
Add the meat and cook and stir until it is nicely browned, then add the next 8 ingredients and simmer for 1 hour.
