  Ground boneless chuck 1 Pound
  Onion 1 Large, minced
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Butter/Oil 3 Tablespoon
  Canned tomato sauce 8 Ounce
  Canned tomato paste 6 Ounce
  Celery salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Caraway seeds 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Crushed red pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1 , crumbled
  Chili powder 1 Tablespoon
  Chopped fresh basil/One tablespoon dried basil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cooked chili beans/1 can chili beans 1 Pint

Saute the beef, onion and garlic slowly in the hot butter or oil.
Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste and seasonings.
Continue simmering over low heat about ten minutes.
Add the beans, cover and let simmer one hour or longer.
If additional liquid is needed, add beef bouillon so that the mixture has the consistency of soup.
