Spicy Beef Empanadas
|Lean ground beef||1⁄2 Pound|
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped tomatoes||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped pitted black olives||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Catsup/Chili sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chili powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Garlic salt||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Hot pepper sauce||6 Drop|
|Pie crust mix||20 Ounce (2 Package)|
Melt butter or margarine in heavy fry pan.
Add beef and onion; cook, stirring until beef is crumbly and onion soft.
Stir in remaining ingredients, except pie crust mix.
Cook slowly until thickened, about 10 minutes, stirring often.
While meat is chilling prepare pie crust mix as directed on package label.
Roll, cut crust, fill, store, and cook as directed for mini fried fruit pies using spicy beef filling.
