Mexican Rice

Ingredients
  Finely chopped onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Garlic clove 1 Small, minced
  Uncooked rice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cooking oil/Salad oil 3 Tablespoon
  Chili powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Water 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
Directions

Add onion, garlic, and rice to hot oil in a heavy saucepan; fry about 3 minutes, or until golden, stirring occasionally.
Stir in a mixture of chili powder and salt.
Add water, stir, and cover tightly.
Bring to boiling and simmer until rice is tender, about 25 minutes.
