1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
1 , diced
1 1⁄2 Tablespoon
Freshly ground pepper
1 Teaspoon, coarsely chopped
1. Cut the corn tortillas in small pieces and put them on a cookie sheet. Spray the tortilla pieces with oil spray.
2. Set the oven on broil. It takes about 2 mins on each side, when you put the baking sheet inside the broiler.
3. Put the whole tomatoes inside the blender. Smash them to get some juice for blending. Destem the pepper and put into the blender. Add the diced red onions. Add some chili powder, garlic, salt and freshly ground pepper. Use the pulse button to blend the salsa. This will make the salsa chunky.
4. In a medium bowl, first put the cilantro leaves and then pour the salsa. Stir well with a spoon. Serve the salsa alongside the freshly baked tortilla chips.
