Mexican Pizza Topping
|Bulk italian sausage/Bulk pork sausage||1 Pound|
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Tomato sauce||1 1⁄2 Can (15 oz)|
|Sliced pitted ripe olives||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Canned green chili peppers||4 Ounce|
|Dried parsley flakes||1 Teaspoon|
|Shredded cheddar cheese||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
In skillet cook sausage and onion till meat is browned; drain off fat.
Stir in tomato sauce, olives, chili peppers, and parsley.
Cover; simmer about 10 minutes.
Spread desired pizza crusts with meat mixture; top with cheese.
Bake as directed in crust recipe.
Top with tomato slices and shredded lettuce, if desired.
