Mexican Steak Strips
|Top round steak||1 Pound|
|Mexican seasoning/0.25 teaspoon each cumin, oregano, seasoned pepper, and garlic salt||1 Teaspoon|
|Olive oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Lemon juice/Lime juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Chopped cilantro||3 Tablespoon|
|Chopped sweet red pepper/6 small canned red pepper||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Season meat with salt and Mexican seasoning and brown in 1 teaspoon of the oil, turning to brown both sides and cooking until medium rare.
Transfer to a platter and chill.
Pour water into pan and scrape up drippings.
Pour into a bowl and reserve.
Slice 1/8 inch thick and arrange on a platter.
Mix together the pan juices, the remaining oil, lime juice, garlic, and cilantro and spoon over meat.
Chill for 1 to 2 hours.
Garnish with peppers and cilantro sprigs.
