One-Step Tamale Pie
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), minced|
|Seasoned tomato sauce||16 Ounce (1 can)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 , slightly beaten|
|Canned whole kernel corn||12 Ounce, drained (1 can)|
|Sliced pitted ripe olives||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Bottled hot pepper sauce||3 Dash (adjust quantity as per taste)|
|Yellow corn meal||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Chili powder||2 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
In large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic till meat is browned and onion is tender.
Stir in remaining ingredients turn into 11 1/2x7 1/2x1 1/2 inch baking dish.
Bake in moderate oven (350Â°) 45 minutes or till knife inserted comes out clean.
Cut in squares.
