Classic Chili Con Carne
|Ground beef||4 Pound|
|Onions||8 Medium, chopped (About 4 Cups)|
|Canned tomatoes||112 Ounce|
|Kidney beans||62 Ounce, drained, reserve liquid|
|Tomato sauce||15 Ounce|
|Chili powder||3 Tablespoon|
|Salt||4 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Cook and stir ground beef and onion in Dutch oven or large roasting pan until meat is brown and onion is tender.
Drain off fat.
Stir in tomatoes, reserved kidney bean liquid, the tomato sauce and seasonings.
Heat to boiling.
Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 1 hour 15 minutes.
Stir in beans.
Simmer, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes or until of desired consistency.
