Betty demonstrates how to make Taco Seasoning. This Taco Seasoning may be to flavor other Mexican-style dishes, such as burritos, tostadas, empanadas, or fajitas. For those of you who are not able to find packets of taco flavoring mix, this is a great substitute!
Chili powder | 3 Tablespoon | |
Garlic powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Onion powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Paprika | 1 Teaspoon | |
Oregano | 1 Teaspoon | |
Ground red cayenne pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Black pepper | 2 Teaspoon | |
Brown sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
Ground cumin seed | 1/2 Tablespoon | |
Sea salt | 1 Tablespoon |
MAKING
1. In a small mixing bowl, combine chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, and cayenne pepper.
2. Add black pepper, brown sugar, ground cumin seed, and sea salt in it. Mix well.
3. In a clean screw cap glass jar, transfer the seasoning. Shake vigorously.
SERVING
4. Use taco seasoning as desired.
TIPS
Use about 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning to cook each pound of meat.
