Chili Con Carne

Ingredients
  Ground beef 4 Pound
  Lean pork 2 Pound, ground
  Chopped onions 6 Cup (96 tbs)
  Diced celery 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Tomatoes 4 Pound (four 1 pound cans / 8 cups)
  Tomato puree 2 Pound
  Canned kidney beans 8 Pound, undrained (1 can / 16 cups)
  Salt 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Chili powder 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

MAKING
1. Heat the broiler.
2. In a large ovenproof pan, add oil and brown the meat under the broiler.
3. Pour off the pan drippings in to a large kettle and add the onion and celery to the kettle. Cook this for five minutes
4. Add the meat to the kettle and mix well
5. Tip in the rest of the ingredients and cook uncovered on low heat for 2 hours till done. Stir frequently to ensure that it does not stick

SERVING
6. Serve hot in individual bowls.
