Old-Fashioned Chili Con Carne

Chili is an all time favorite classic recipe. Whether you are making it for the first time or are an expert a great recipe like this is old-fashioned chili con carne going to ensure that you enjoy every bit of it
Ingredients
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
  Ground beef 2 Pound
  Garlic salt To Taste
  Diced celery 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Tomatoes 46 1⁄2 Ounce
  Tomato paste 12 Ounce
  Sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Pinto beans 1 Pound
  Pitted olives 1 Can (10 oz)
  Oregano 1 Dash
  Finely chopped parsley 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Worcestershire sauce 1 Tablespoon
  Chili powder 3 Tablespoon
  Cayenne pepper To Taste
  Hot sauce To Taste
Directions

Combine ground beef with garlic salt and salt and pepper to taste; place in hot, deep iron kettle.
Add celery; cook mixture until browned, stirring con- stantly.
Cover; simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, 1 tablespoon salt, 1 teaspoon pepper, beans, olives, oregano, parsley and Worcestershire sauce; simmer for about 10 minutes.
Add chili powder, cayenne pepper and hot sauce, stirring well.
Refrigerate over- night.
Reheat to serve.
May be frozen.
Yield: 4 quarts.
