|Beef/Pork||2 Pound, cut into bite sized pieces|
|Water||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Red chili pods/3 tablespoons chili powder||2|
|Onion||1 Small, chopped|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), finely chopped|
|Canned hominy||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
Combine beef or pork and water in stockpot.
Cook until meat is tender, stirring occasionally.
Stir in red chili pods, oregano, onion, garlic and hominy.
Simmer for 30 to 60 minutes or until desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
Serve with Sopaipillas, a light Mexican bread.
