Ham Tamale Pie

Ingredients
  Onion 1 Large, chopped
  Chopped green pepper 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  All purpose flour 9 Tablespoon
  Chili powder 2 Teaspoon
  Diced cooked ham 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Canned whole kernel corn 12 Ounce, drained (1 Can)
  Tomato juice 2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)
  Seedless raisins 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Egg 1
  Yellow cornmeal 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Paprika 1 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Saute onion, green pepper, and garlic in 2 tablespoons butter for 5 minutes.
Blend in 1 tablespoon flour and chili powder.
Add next 4 ingredients and heat.
Pour into large shallow casserole.
Cream remaining butter with sugar.
Beat in egg.
Add 1/2 cup flour, cornmeal, and remaining ingredients.
Mix well and spoon around edge of casserole to form a border.
Bake, uncovered, in preheated moderate oven (375°F.) for about 30 minutes.
Makes 6 servings.
