Mexican Beef Mix

Ingredients
  Ground beef 2 Pound
  Onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Chili powder 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Red pepper 3⁄4 Teaspoon, crushed
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground cumin 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Oregano leaves 1⁄8 Teaspoon, dried
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), minced
Directions

Crumble ground beef into 3-qt casserole.
Stir in onion.
Microwave at High 6 to 8 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink, stirring 2 or 3 times.
Drain.
Stir in remaining ingredients; cover.
Reduce power to 50% (Medium).
Microwave 4 to 6 minutes, or until flavors blend, stirring 2 or 3 times.
Spoon into four freezer containers.
Label and freeze no longer than 2 months.
To defrost, remove from one container and place in 1-qt casserole.
Microwave at 50% (Medium) V/2 to 2 minutes, or until mixture can be broken apart.
Let stand 5 to 10 minutes to complete defrosting.
Use in Tacos, Mexican Pie, Burritos or Mexican Salad, opposite.
