Salsa Verde

Ingredients
  Lard/Butter / bacon drippings 1 Tablespoon
  Chopped onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
  Canned stewed tomatoes/1 1/2 cup chicken broth 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Chopped green chilies 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Or More)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

1 Melt the lard in a saucepan over medium heat.
2 Saute the chopped onion in the lard. Add the flour and mix well.
3 Add the stewed tomatoes or chicken broth, chopped chiles, garlic and seasonings. Simmer for 20 minutes.
