Beefy Chili Con Carne
|Pinto beans||1 Pound, washed and drained (Red / Pink)|
|Water||6 Cup (96 tbs)|
|Beef suet||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), chopped|
|Onions||2 , chopped|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Lean beef||2 Pound, coarsely ground|
|Chili powder||3 Teaspoon|
|Crushed red pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Tomato juice||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
Cover beans with the water, bring to boil, and boil for 2 minutes.
Let stand for 1 hour.
Cover and simmer until tender, about 2 hours.
Render beef fat in skillet, add onions and garlic, and cook until golden.
Add meat; cook until meat separates and browns, stirring with fork.
Add with remaining ingredients to beans.
Simmer, uncovered, for about 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
