Carne Asada Soft Tacos
|Beef fillet||1 Pound|
|Corn tortillas||12 , warmed in foil or briefly in oven|
|Sweet onion||1 Medium, finely chopped|
|Tomatoes||2 Medium, finely chopped|
|Shredded lettuce||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Fresh salsa||1 Tablespoon|
1 Charcoal-broil the filet. As it is getting done, warm the tortillas on dinner plates in a 350°F. oven.
2 Thinly slice the beef and place in a Mexican pottery bowl. Place the onion, tomatoes, lettuce and salsa in similar bowls. Place the tortillas in a napkin-lined basket.
3 Assemble the tacos by placing a layer of meat in a tortilla, then layers of onion, tomatoes, lettuce and salsa.
