Mexican Rarebit

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 3 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 Small, chopped
  Canned green chilies 4 Ounce, drained and chopped (1 Can)
  Plain flour 2 Tablespoon
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cheddar cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs), grated
  Canned chopped tomatoes 16 Ounce, drained (1 Can)
  Ground black pepper To Taste
  Salt To Taste
Directions

Melt the butter in a saucepan and saute the onion.
Add the chilies and stir well.
Sprinkle the flour over the saute and stir well to make a thick paste.
Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly, to make a smooth sauce.
Add the cheese, tomatoes, salt and pepper and stir well.
