Grilled Mexican Style Burgers
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Instant minced onion||2 Teaspoon|
|Dried oregano leaves||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground cumin||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Tomato||1 Small, cut into 8 thin slices|
|Taco shells/Flour tortillas||4|
|Shredded lettuce||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Salsa||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Combine ground beef, onion, oregano, cumin, salt and pepper, mixing lightly but thoroughly.
Divide beef mixture into 4 equal portions; form each into an oval-shaped patty (6 x 2 1/2 inches).
Grill patties on grid over medium coals, turning once.
Grill 10 minutes for rare; 12 minutes for medium.To assemble, arrange 2 tomato slices and a grilled burger in each taco shell.
Top each with 1/4 cup lettuce and 1 tablespoon salsa.
