Mexican Meat Balls
|Ground beef||250 Gram|
|Ground pork||250 Gram|
|Egg||1 , slightly beaten|
|Fine dry bread crumbs||30 Milliliter (2 Tablespoons)|
|Salt||1 Milliliter (1/4 Teaspoon)|
|Garlic clove||1 Large, minced|
|Chili powder||10 Milliliter (2 Teaspoons)|
|Oregano leaves||2 Milliliter, crushed (1/2 Teaspoon)|
|Shortening||15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)|
|Condensed tomato soup||1 Can (10 oz) (284 Milliliters)|
|Finely chopped onion||75 Milliliter|
|Cooked rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Combine beef, pork, egg, bread crumbs, salt and pepper.
Shape into 16 meatballs.
In frying pan, brown meatballs with garlic, chili powder and oregano in shortening.
Stir in soup, water and onion.
Cover; cook over low heat 20 minutes or until done.
