Mexican Meat Balls
|Canned tomatoes||34 Ounce, reserving 2 tablespoons juice (2 Cans, 17 Ounce Each)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chili powder||2 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground beef||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Ground lean pork||1 Pound|
|Raw rice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Put tomatoes, water and 2 teaspoons chili powder into a 3-quart saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Mix meat, salt, egg, rice, remaining 1/2 teaspoon chili powder and tomato juice.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cook 2 hours or until liquid is a rich gravy consistency.
