|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Solid vegetable shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (plus extra for greasing)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (use just enough to make soft dough)|
In a food processor or bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder.
Add the shortening and blend until crumbled.
Slowly add just enough water to make a soft dough.
Remove to a lightly floured work surface and cover with pastry cloth.
Allow to rest for half an hour.
Roll out thinly; cut into 5 in. (12.5 cm) rounds.
Fry on a lightly greased grill or skillet; turn frequently.
