Mexican Style Meat Loaf

Ingredients
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Cornmeal 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped onions 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped green sweet pepper/One 4 1/2 ounce can diced green chili peppers, drained 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Canned whole tomatoes 7 1⁄2 Ounce, cut up (1 Can)
  Chili powder 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground sage 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Black pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground pork 1 Pound
  Lean ground beef 1 Pound
Directions

1 In a large mixing bowl combine the egg, cornmeal, onion, sweet pepper or chili peppers, undrained tomatoes, chili powder, salt, sage, and black pepper. Add pork and beef; mix thoroughly. Shape into a 9x5-inch loaf in a shallow baking pan.
2 Bake meat loaf in a 350° oven about 1 1/4 hours or until juices run clear. If desired, serve with hot-style or salsa catsup.
