Hamburger Chili Con Carne
|Spanish onions||3 Large|
|Lean bacon||1⁄4 Pound|
|Olive oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Kidney beans||16 Ounce (1 Large Tin)|
|Tomatoes||1 Large (1 Large Tin)|
|Tomato catsup||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm)|
|Chili powder||1 Tablespoon|
Cook onions in olive oil.
Cut bacon up fine and fry until brown.
Put minced meat in with onions and cook until meat is white.
Add tomato catsup and kidney beans.
Mix mustard, sugar, chili powder, pepper and salt.
Make into a paste with water.
Add to mixture and cook slowly all day.
Add mushrooms 1 hour before serving.
