Mexican Rice With Hamburger

Ingredients
  Rice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Fat 4 Tablespoon
  Hamburger 1 Pound
  Onion 1 Small, chopped
  Green pepper 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Tomatoes 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Raisins 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs), washed
  Water 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Bacon slices 2
Directions

Wash and drain rice, heat 2 tablespoons fat in frying pan, add rice and fry until nice and brown, stirring frequently.
Put rice in casserole and add remainder of fat.
Add meat, onion and pepper.
Fry until cooked about 10 minutes.
Add salt and tomatoes.
Allow to cook few minutes longer then mix with rice and raisins.
Place in casserole, cover with bacon.
Bake at 350° F. about 45 minutes, or until rice is tender.
Enough for two oval pyrex dishes.
