Sausage & Corn Tamale Pie
|Ground beef||1⁄2 Pound|
|Pork sausage||1⁄2 Pound|
|Onion||1 Large, sliced|
|Garlic||1⁄8 Teaspoon, minced|
|Canned tomatoes||16 Ounce (With Juice)|
|Canned whole kernel corn||12 Ounce (Drained)|
|Chili powder||1 Tablespoon|
|Cornmeal||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Green olives||18 , chopped|
|Olive slices||1 Tablespoon (For Garnish)|
Cook meats with onion and garlic until browned.
Stir in tomatoes with juice, corn, and seasonings.
Simmer 10 minutes.
Pour into greased oblong baking dish.
Prepare cornmeal crust by mixing cornmeal, eggs, milk, and chopped olives.
Spread over hot mixture.
Decorate top with few olive slices.
Bake at 350Â°F 30 to 35 minutes.
