Homemade Taco Seasoning Recipe Ground Beef Tacos

How to make your own Homemade Taco Seasoning from scratch, so you can control salt and tweak flavor to your taste. Great for ground beef tacos!

Ingredients

For taco seasoning
Chipotle chili powder/Chili powder 1 Tablespoon
Garlic powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Onion powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Cayenne pepper 1/4 Teaspoon
Oregano leaves 1/4 Teaspoon
Paprika 1 Teaspoon
Cumin 2 Teaspoon
Salt 1 Teaspoon (season to taste)
For beef tacos
Ground beef 80% lean 1 Pound
Grapeseed oil 1 Tablespoon
Sea salt 1/2 Teaspoon

Making

Taco Seasoning 

In a small bowl, add chipotle chili powder, garlic powder onion powder, cayenne pepper,  oregano leaves, paprika, and cumin. Combine well. (You can store it in mason jars for future use.)

Ground Beef Tacos

Heat a skillet over medium high heat and pour grapeseed oil.

Add ground beef to the skillet and sprinkle the seasoning all over the meat.

Season it with sea salt.

Use a spatula to break up the meat and let it cook for 7-8 minutes.

Serving

Place the beef on a taco shell or tortilla. Top it with avocado pieces, tomatoes, cheese, and sour cream.
