Corn Tortilla

We make an easy corn tortilla from scratch. Perfect for homemade tacos on taco night!


Corn flour 1 3/4 Cup (28 tbs)
Ground chipotle 1 Teaspoon
Garlic powder 1 Teaspoon
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Warm water 1 Cup (16 tbs)



In a large bowl, add in corn flour, chipotle and salt. Stir well.

Add in the warm water and mix to form a dough ball.

Place the dough in bowl and cover with saran wrap. Set aside for 20 minutes.

Divide the dough in 12 – 15 equal parts and make balls. Place a ball over a parchment paper / Silpat and cover with other parchment paper. Press the ball with palm and roll with a rolling pin to make 8 inch tortilla.

Take a 6 inch ring and cut the tortillas, remove the excess dough and place in a preheated non – stick pan. Cook for 30 seconds to a minute per side.


Top the tortillas with your choice of topping and serve.
