This thanksgiving, while you plan to serve special cuisines to your guests, you must think of some special cocktails also. These nutmeg cocktail recipes for holidays are just perfect to go with the fine delicacies of your thanksgiving gourmet preparations. They are quite easy to mix, when you have the ingredients ready on the table. Go through the following nutmeg cocktail recipe ideas and pick as many as you wish.



 


The Pledge


Take a pilsner glass to pour 1 part of Lustau East India sherry and ½ part of Benedictine liqueur. Stir this well and top with the Sixpoint oatmeal stout. Garnish with grated nutmeg to serve. This could be an ideal brunch cocktail.


 


Jamaican Punch


In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 parts of Smith & Cross Navy Strength rum, ½ part of allspice, ½ part of sugar cane syrup and 1 part of lime juice. Give a thorough shake to blend the drink. Use a rocks glass to serve the drink over ice. Sprinkle grated nutmeg on the drink and then garnish with orange peel.


 


The Long Hello


Take a cocktail shaker being half-filled with ice. Pour ¾ part of Clear Creek Apple brandy and ¾ part of St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur. Add a dash of bitters to it and shake well. Strain the drink into a coupe glass. Fill the remaining part with champagne. Serve by sprinkling grated nutmeg on top.


 


Alpine Sour


Combine 1 part of Asbach Uralt brandy, 1 part of orgeat syrup, 1 bottle (.75 oz) of Underberg bitters with juice of one lemon. Shake this with ice in a cocktail shaker. Strain the drink into coupe glass and garnish with grated nutmeg.


 


Otto’s Sour


To prepare this cocktail, first shake 2 parts of Linie Aquavit, 1 part of lemon juice, ¾ part of Tawny Port and ¾ part of cinnamon syrup in a cocktail shaker along with crushed ice. Strain this into a cocktail glass. Float red wine in the remaining part of the glass. Serve by garnishing with grated nutmeg.


 


The Trophy Wall


Shake 1 and ½ part of Pisco, ¾ part Cherry Heering Liqueur, ¾ part of Crème de Cacao, ¼ part of Fernet Branca, ¾ part of heavy cream and crushed ice, in a cocktail shaker. Use a cocktail glass to strain the drink. Sprinkle grated nutmeg to serve.
