I always serve either rice or nan/chapati/roti not both-too much carb! Also brown rice is healthier than white. If you serve rice and beans/dahl it is a perfect protein. Did you know: 1 cup lentils . . . 2 1/2 cups cooked lentils 1 cup black beans . . . 2 cups cooked beans 1 cup blackeyed peas . . . 2 1/2 cups cooked beans 1 cup Great Northern beans . . . 2 1/2 cups cooked beans 1 cup kidney beans . . . 2 3/4 cups cooked beans 2 cup large lima beans. . . 2 1/2 cups cooked beans 1 cup small lima beans. . . 2 cups cooked beans 1 cup pea (or navy) beans. . . 2 1/2 cups cooked beans 1 cup split peas. . . 2 1/2 cups cooked peas 1 cup pinto beans . . . 2 1/2 cups cooked beans Shanti/Mary-Anne

These foods are more natural and have rich amount of the protein, so these foods are very helpful to build and maintain the body muscles.
