Ingredients
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Dark rum 2 Tablespoon
  Cognac 1 Tablespoon
  Melon balls 4 Cup (64 tbs) (Such As Crenshaw, Cantaloupe, Honeydew, Or A Mixture Of Two Or Three)
  Mint leaves 2 Tablespoon, chopped
Directions

MAKING
1) In a small saucepan, bring the water and sugar to a boil, cook for about 1 minute, until the sugar dissolves.
2) Turn off the heat , allow to slightly cool and stir in the rum and Cognac.
3) In a bowl, mix the melon balls and chopped mint together. Pour over the syrup, mix gently and refrigerate covered for about 3 hours, stirring 1-2 times.

SERVING
4) Spoon the melon balls equally into 8 coupes (stemmed goblets), pour over some syrup, garnish with a mint sprig and serve.
