|Veal slices||8 (Thin)|
|Ham slices||8 (Thin)|
|Sage leaves/Pinches of dried sage||8 Small|
|Marsala wine/White wine||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
Beat veal between waxed paper.
Place slice of ham on each veal slice; add sage leaf.
Season with salt and pepper.
Roll up each slice tightly; use toothpicks to fasten rolls securely.
Heat butter; brown rolls all over about 5 to 7 minutes.
Add wine and a little salt and pepper; cover.
Cook gently in preheated 350Â°F oven (or on top of stove) about 15 minutes, when meat should be tender.
Cut bread into rounds; fry in oil and butter until golden brown and crisp.
Place each roll on fried bread crouton.
