|Phyllo dough||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Walnuts||2 Cup (32 tbs), freshly ground|
|Unsalted butter sticks||2|
|Sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Teaspoon|
1 Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
2 Defrost the butter.
3 Brush the bottom of a baking pan with butter.
4 In a pan, combine sugar and water and bring it to a boil
5 Add lemon juice to the boiling solution, stirring continuously
6 Meanwhile, on the prepared baking pan, place a sheet of phyllo dough.
7 Brush the layer of dough with butter.
8 Repeat layering the phyllo dough sheets and butter until you have finished one of the twin packs of phyllo.
9 Add this stage; start adding a layer of nuts in addition to phyllo sheets and butter.
10 Repeat the layers of phyllo sheets, butter and nut until you have finished the second pack of phyllo.
11 Place the baking dish in the middle rack of the oven.
12 Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
13 Remove the baking dish from the oven and pour the prepared sugar syrup on top.
14 Cut into even sized pieces and serve.
