|Dried figs||185 Gram|
|Chopped toasted almonds||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped peel||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Icing sugar||3 Tablespoon|
Place figs in a saucepan with sufficient water to cover, bring slowly to the boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
Drain and cool.
Make a lengthwise slit in figs, shape around the rounded side of a teaspoon to make a cavity for the stuffing.
Combine almonds and peel and fill each fig with a good teaspoon of the mixture and press figs to close.
Dust with icing sugar.
Store in refrigerator until required, or gift wrap.
