Spicy Lamb And Apricot Burgers
|Dried apricots||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Orange juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Catsup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Curry powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Garam masala||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Chili powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground lamb||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Dry bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped parsley||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Onion||1⁄2 , finely chopped|
Soak apricots in water for 12 hours.
Drain and place in a blender or food processor.
Add orange juice and puree.
In a bowl, place apricot puree, catsup, curry powder, garam masala and chili powder.
Add lamb and mix again.
Add breadcrumbs, parsley, onion and salt.
Mix, then shape into 6 patties.
Place patties in a hinged wire grill on barbecue over medium-hot coals.
Cook for about 6 minutes on each side, turning once.
