Best Ever Beef Loaf

  Eggs 2
  Milk 150 Milliliter (2/3 cup)
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Black pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Bread slices 3 , crumbled
  Onion 1 , minced
  Shredded carrot 125 Milliliter (1/2 cup, raw)
  Shredded old cheddar cheese 250 Milliliter (1 cup)
  Medium ground beef 1 1⁄2 Pound (750 gram)
  Brown sugar 50 Milliliter (1/4 cup)
  Ketchup 50 Milliliter (1/4 cup)
  Prepared mustard 1 Tablespoon

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180° C).
Break the eggs into a large mixing bowl and beat lightly with a fork.
Beat in the milk, salt, pepper and crumbled bread crumbs; beat until the bread disintegrates.
Add the onion, carrot, cheese and ground beef; mix well and pack into a 9" x 5" (23 x 13 cm) loaf pan.
Combine the brown sugar, ketchup and prepared mustard; spread over top of the loaf.
Bake for approximately 1 hour and let stand 10 minutes before removing from the loaf pan.
Serve hot or cold.
