Glazed Meat Loaf
|Quick cooking rolled oats||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Poultry seasoning||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Onion||1 Large, finely chopped|
|Lean ground beef||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Tomato chili sauce/Catsup||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Dijon mustard||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
In a large bowl, stir together oats, milk, salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, eggs, Worcestershire, and onion.
Add beef and combine thoroughly.
Pat mixture into a 5 by 9 inch glass or ceramic loaf dish.
In a small bowl, stir together chili sauce, sugar, mustard, and nutmeg.
Spread evenly over meat mixture.
Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) for 18 to 20 minutes (rotating dish 1/4 turn every 4 minutes) or until no longer pink in center when slashed.
Let stand, covered with wax paper, for 5 minutes.
With two wide spatulas, carefully lift out and place on a serving platter.
