Sausage And Bell Pepper Meatloaf
|Tomato sauce||15 Ounce, divided (Use 1 Can)|
|Dried sage||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon, divided|
|Ground black pepper||3⁄4 Teaspoon, divided|
|15% fat lean ground beef||1 1⁄4 Pound|
|Chopped onion||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Chopped green bell pepper||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Finely crushed crackers||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Such As Ritz)|
|Garlic cloves||2 Large, minced|
Preheat oven to 350Â°F.
Whisk 1/2 cup tomato sauce, eggs, 1 teaspoon sage, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper in large bowl.
Add ground beef, sausage, onion, bell pepper, cracker crumbs, and garlic; blend well.
Pack mixture into 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
Mix remaining tomato sauce, 1/2 teaspoon sage, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in small bowl; pour over meatloaf.
Bake meatloaf until thermometer inserted into center registers 160Â°F, about 1 hour 10 minutes.
