Cheese-Filled Meat Loaf
|Lean hamburger||1 Pound|
|Dry bread crumbs||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Pizza sauce||10 1⁄2 Ounce (1 can)|
|Onion||1 Medium, chopped|
|Garlic powder||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Small curd cottage cheese||12 Ounce (1 carton)|
|Canned mushroom stems and pieces||4 Ounce, drained (1 can)|
|Dried parsley flakes||1 Tablespoon|
|Italian seasoning||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
Mix hamburger, bread crumbs, 1/2 cup of the pizza sauce, 1 egg, the onion, salt and garlic powder; reserve.
Mix remaining ingredients for cheese filling.
Press 1/3 of the meat mixture in bottom of ob long baking dish, 10 x 6 x 1 1/2 inches.
Spread cheese filling over meat.
Spoon remaining meat mixture onto top; spread to cover filling.
Cover loosely and microwave 10 minutes; turn dish one quarter turn.
Microwave until meat is firm in center, about 7 minutes.
Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
Microwave remaining pizza sauce in dish to boiling, 1 to 2 minutes; serve over Meat Loaf.
