Simple Meat Loaf
|Ground meat||1 Pound|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|Egg||1 , well beaten|
|Catsup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Onion||2 Tablespoon, chopped|
|Water||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Oatmeal||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Ground beef, veal, or lamb, or a combination of the three, may be used.
Combine the ingredients in the order given.
Pack in a greased loaf-pan.
Bake in a moderately hot oven (375Â° F ) for 1 hour.
May be served hot or cold.
Two-thirds cup of soybean grits or flakes, bread crumbs or corn flakes may be substituted for the oatmeal.
When using soybean grits, allow 1 cup of boiling water instead of the 2/3 cup listed above.
Pour the water on the soybeans and simmer gently while mixing the other ingredients.
