Barbecued Sage Meat Loaf

Ingredients
  Onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon
  Ground beef 3⁄4 Pound
  Breadcrumbs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Milk 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Rubbed sage 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Barbecue sauce 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Saute onion in butter in a small skillet until tender.
Combine next 7 ingredients in a bowl; add onion, and mix lightly.
Place mixture in a lightly greased 10- x 6- x 2-inch baking dish, and shape into a loaf.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes; brush loaf with barbecue sauce.
Bake an additional 15 minutes or until done.
