Best Ever Meat Loaf

  Rye bread slices/Whole wheat bread slices 2
  White bread slices 2
  Cold water 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Lean ground beef 1 Pound
  Onion 1 Medium, finely chopped
  Parsley sprigs 4 , chopped
  Egg 1 , slightly beaten
  Parmesan cheese 3 Tablespoon
  Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Tomato sauce 8 Ounce (1 can)
  Oregano 1 Teaspoon

Break up the bread and soak in cold water. Squeeze out some of the water if bread seems too wet, and combine it with meat. Blend thoroughly; then add onion, parsley, salt, pepper, egg, and cheese. Shape into loaf on a greased baking pan. Spread with margarine. Bake for 1/2 hour. Pour on the tomato sauce and sprinkle with oregano. Bake another 20 minutes. This meat loaf holds together and stays moist. It makes delicious cold sandwiches.
