Hot Ham Loaf
|Smoked ham||1⁄2 Pound|
|Boneless lean pork||1 Pound|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Dry bread crumbs||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Finely chopped onion||2 Tablespoon|
|Brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Prepared mustard||1 Tablespoon|
|Vinegar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Grind the ham and pork together, add the egg, milk, bread crumbs, onion, and salt and pepper to taste.
Mold into a loaf and place in a roasting pan.
Mix the brown sugar, mustard, vinegar and water, and pour this sauce over the loaf.
Bake in a preheated 300° F. [150° C] oven for one hour, basting occasionally with the sauce.
