Barbecued Meat Loaf
|Ground chuck||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Canned tomato sauce||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Quick cooking oats||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Finely chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Salt||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ketchup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1 Tablespoon, packed|
|Prepared mustard||1 Tablespoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
Combine ground chuck, tomato sauce, oats, egg, onion, garlic, salt and pepper in bowl.
Mix lightly, but well.
Pat mixture into 8x4x21/2" (1 1/2qt.) glass loaf dish.
Microwave at high setting 8 minutes, rotating dish onequarter turn after 4 minutes.
Pour off excess fat from meat.
Blend together ketchup, brown sugar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce in small bowl.
Spread over meat loaf.
Microwave at high setting 10 minutes, rotating dish one quarter turn after 5 minutes, or until meat is firm and has reached an internal temperature of 145° to 150°.
Let stand on wooden board or heatproof surface 5 minutes before serving.
