The Store Meat Loaf
|Ground chuck||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Ground veal||1⁄2 Pound|
|Lean ground pork/2 1/2 pounds meat loaf mixture||1⁄4 Pound|
|Finely chopped shallots/Green onions||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped parsley||2 Tablespoon|
|Basil leaf||1⁄2 Teaspoon, crumbled|
|Packaged breadcrumbs||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Chili sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Soy sauce||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Egg||1 , lightly beaten|
|Milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
1. Mix meat, salt, pepper, shallots, parsley, basil, bread crumbs, 2 tablespoons of chili sauce, soy sauce, egg and milk until well-blended.
2. Spoon mixture into a 5-cup baking dish or 9x5x3-inch loaf pan. Spread remaining 2 tablespoons chili sauce over top; arrange bacon slices on top.
3. Bake in a hot oven (400°) for 15 minutes. Lower oven temperature to moderate (350°); bake for 1 hour long.
